Each mosaic piece is freely designed using a variety of items: glass, beads, carvings, shells, ceramic pieces including my own handmade porcelain tiles, and other collectibles. Using virtually anything as a surface, I adhere these items piece by piece and finish with tile grout.
I make custom mosaic pieces incorporating personal collected items that we store away, not wanting to disgard but not having space to display: family gifts that are small and special, souvenirs from travels, costume jewelry, broken jewelry, broken teacups from our grandparents, etc... These items can be enjoyed together in a one-of-a-kind art piece that we can observe and find delight in, every day...and, make space in our drawers and cabinets.
Bring me your box of treasures and the structure you would like them on, be it anything from a wooden box or a birdhouse, and I will deliver back to you your object transformed into a very special custom designed mosaic artpiece.
